Rockytime Posted August 28, 2019 Report Posted August 28, 2019 Has anyone used Hegner's proprietary dust collection? For $75 plus shipping I have neither the energy or desire to fabricate something of my own. I did with the 14" but not with the 18" saw. If you have one does it work and how do you like it? OCtoolguy Posted August 28, 2019 Report Posted August 28, 2019 I never knew they had one. It must be fairly new. Quote
Rockytime Posted August 28, 2019 Author Report Posted August 28, 2019 All the saws since 2013 have it as standard equipment. OCtoolguy 1 Quote
rjweb Posted August 28, 2019 Report Posted August 28, 2019 That’s new to me, if you have a link of it, Thx RJ OCtoolguy 1 Quote
OCtoolguy Posted August 28, 2019 Report Posted August 28, 2019 It looks like they are just using their blower system inverted. Quote

jbrowning Posted August 29, 2019 Report Posted August 29, 2019 The one I had only blew the dust off the piece I was cutting on. That's why I made up my dust collector that goes to my (LOUD) shop vac and got rid of the blower that came with it. Jim danny, Rockytime and OCtoolguy 1 2 Quote
nrscroller Posted August 31, 2019 Report Posted August 31, 2019 Try this one gusy: I have it all beat, I use a air brush compressor hooked up to my line, avoids the bellows and keeps dust off my work much better. I have it hooked up to my foot switch so it goes on and off with that. Also have a 20 inch box fan with backside toward my saw with a furnace filter taped to it to suck dust away. Been using this for years. It has more power than an aquarium pump also. Bill OCtoolguy 1 Quote

Wish I had thought of using it. Not exactly an air brush compressor but a small quiet compressor from one of my father's dental chairs. OCtoolguy and danny 2 Quote
