Been busy

Every year, I try to do something special for my sisters, the in laws and special friends.

This year, I dug back in the files for this Steve Good manger scene. It is six layers of cutting, plus a back piece and a two layer lid--so nine layers all together.

Inside is butternut which was soaked in natural Danish Oil. (Went a bit darker than I had envisioned. ) Lid and backer wall are walnut.

Everything's 1/4" and was stack cut in threes.

To late to do it now, but if there is a next time I would consider putting a single LED centered top back of it.

They look good. I made about 25 of them last year and sold them all for $20.00 each. I think I should of charged more.

I would think somewhere in the neighborhood of $30 or $35.

Have to start early.  I do my cutting on the patio and cold or rain shuts me down.
