barb.j.enders Posted September 10, 2019 Report Posted September 10, 2019 What are you trying to attach? Is it flat glass, a glass, textured glass? What type of wood? Not that I will have any suggestions, but it might help others to figure out possibilites OCtoolguy 1 Quote
jollyred Posted September 10, 2019 Report Posted September 10, 2019 Usually it is done by cutting a rebate in the edge of the wood, deeper than the glass. Glazier's points are then driven in to hold the glass in place, then a retaining strip is put in to help hold the glass in and cover the points. If it is in a window, putty is used instead of the strips to waterproof the joint. In picture frames, a back cover is placed over the points to protect the picture. If the glass is ever broken, the glazier's points are easily removed so the glass can be replaced. The process is known as glazing, and there are probably a lot of Utube videos on it. Jim McDonald Posted September 10, 2019 Report Posted September 10, 2019 Is it a plane of glass or a more figural piece? OCtoolguy 1 Quote
Karl S Posted September 10, 2019 Report Posted September 10, 2019 Clear silicone will do the trick. OCtoolguy 1 Quote
dgman Posted September 10, 2019 Report Posted September 10, 2019 E6000. It comes in a tube and adheres anything to anything. You can find it at any craft store and most hardware stores. It’s a clear gel and flex’s if necessary. I use it to mount D hangers to projects. Have never had a failure. OCtoolguy 1 Quote
