ike
I am wondering what is the best seller you have at a craft sale? IKE OzarkSawdust

kmmcrafts
I haven't done a craft show in years... so my answer for a craft show seller is probably irrelevant.. My best craft show seller was ornaments..when I did crafts shows... angel themed ones sold very well back then.. Now with that said.. my online experience is most my shoppers are women looking for unique gift themed things for men / boys.. so car themed things sell well.. So with that said.. make things your shoppers would be looking for for the men in your local area I guess would be my best advice.. but it really depends on your local shows and what type shows they are.. OzarkSawdust
IKE said the exact thought running through my mind! I have a little display of my woodworking at a antique/craft type shop near me. I've sold bird houses, small Christmas trees, wall art, etc. but thought some scroll work would go great. Maybe build some stock this winter and try a show next spring. Great question Ike, I'll be watching closely! tomsteve

scrollingforsanity
Hands down for me would be Ornaments. 3.5 in to 4 in in diameter and about anything you would like to make. Angels have been good for me. I have hundreds of different ones . What sells good this year might not sell the next year. The public can be finicky at times. I attend several shows in the fall and try to take some different patterns to each show to give them a choice. Hope you do well with whatever you decide to make. grizz tomsteve and OzarkSawdust
jbrowning
My craft shows are in November and December. My best sellers are Christmas Tree Nativities and Dragon and Dinosaur puzzles. bcdennis
Military Items (Crosses, ornaments, etc.) Plus anything Nativity related. I do about 6 shows a year all after October and these do the best for me. tomsteve and OzarkSawdust

When making a puzzle do you just cut a bunch of squiggly lines...or it there a "Puzzle pattern" you can put over the picture/shape/whatever??? Rockytime
I have only cut puzzles, not creating them. I think (another mistake I often make) one could do as you say just making sure the pieces interlock. Might have to try your idea. Wilson142
There are patterns available to over lay and cut traditional style puzzles. Many people simply free hand as they go, making sure to cut interlocking pieces. I have been cutting Asian and Some European style puzzles that are made up of many different animals, birds, fish etc. I have the special Superior Puzzle blades that are intended to be used when turning a photograph into a puzzle. Haven't found a photo that inspires me, yet. Sky's the limit and you are the pilot. Pick a path and see what comes of it. The only rules are the ones you make for yourself. dgman
Yes to both! You can find jigsaw puzzle patterns online if you want. When I decided to cut some jigsaw puzzles, I cut them freehand. I practiced on a blank piece of 1/4” baltic birch plywood till I got the hang of it. In fact, my avatar is my first cut puzzle. The picture came from a calendar. I used 3M 77 spray adhesive on the back of the picture then applied it to the plywood. After dry, I just started cutting making sure every piece interlocked with each other. OzarkSawdust

crupiea
Interesting things that people buy. I dont sell stuff so it is neat to find what does and does not sell. Eye opening,
