OzarkSawdust Posted September 30, 2019 Report Share Posted September 30, 2019 For my first segmentation I thought I would try something simple. This "Yin Yang Cats" is by unknown on the internet. Alex Fox did a very good video on it a while back. After watching it a couple of times I thought...why not! I started with a FD UR #1 on one whisker, one ear, and one nose. Then I switched to a Pegas #5 and did the rest...much easier. I can't believe the rest of the whiskers, eyes, and nose cut that well with a #5...when I had a little wander with a #1. Now I've got to round the edges, do the coloring, cut the backer, and mount the whole thing up! It may have to wait till Tuesday...there's a good possibility a trip to KC and Woodcrafter may happen tomorrow...a King 16" just might follow me home crupiea, bobscroll, OCtoolguy and 3 others 5 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I like doing segmentation and do some heavy shaping on some of it for greater impact and dimension. It is an excellent and economical way to practice shaping.
