My old DeWalt is beginning to show the signs of aging and over the weekend, I was looking at new saws.  I think I saw a tilting head that had a digital tilt gauge built right into the front.

Now I can't remember the name of the saw to investigate further.

This is not going to be an immediate purchase, since I saw on the patio and will be probably putting everything away in another 6 weeks.

Dear Village Residents, I ask you to help the memory (or hallucinations as the case may be) of someone who went into information overload.

If it were me, I would buy the pegas.

I put a digital tilt meter on my ex-21, next to useless IMO.  And from what I seem to remember S Good saying in his write up, it takes a while for it to settle down to a final number.  I do not know for sure, but if it is build into the saw, (a bracket) then it being accurate at level will depend on your installation, it will have to be level regardless of the floor.

I'm in the same boat, will be my first machine and trying to decide between the Seyco and Pegas, have been reading a ton about both machines.

Note sure where you are located, but I have a Pegas Scroll Saw set up at ArtCrafters for test drives and demos.  If you would like more info on the Seyco, contact Ray at Seyco.

I like the Pegas/Excalibur tilting mechanism better but I have no personal experience with the Seyco. The Seyco probably has the best customer service of any of the saw mfgrs.

The SSWC review of the Seyco saw showed that it would tilt to only 30°. The Pegas, Jet, and King saws tilt all the way to 45°. Not sure why the Seyco has this limitation. For some of my bowls, I need the 45 degree tilt.

I think the limitation of the tilt was to get the little thicker cutting capability, although I am not sure of that.  It would probably not be an issue for most scrollers and certainly isn't for me but if you do need it than it is not the saw you want.  I really don't ever think I will need the extra 1/8" cutting depth either.  I do love the large table on the Seyco.  I'd like to have a Pegas with the Seyco size table.
