I lost my workshop

I can't find it any more after 3 maple trees fell last night under the heavy snow we had!!

Honestly looks like it's ok, fence is gone but shed looks like it might be ok. Was a heck of a racket, shook the house. The snow will melt today so I'll check it out when I get home.

Good thing I wasn't working in there when it happened, I'd still be stuck!

I guess living in So Cal ain't so bad afterall. So sorry for your loss. If any. Now you have some maple to cut.

Yep hes got a whole bunch of maple to cut to get to anything underneath. Just keep safe and use the safety equipment if your going to chainsaw it yourself. RJF

No I will take snow any day to the wild fires. You have a chance to reclaim the lumber with wild fires you get a chance to scoop ashes.

But ashes and water makes lye. Lye and fat with hot water makes soap. Soap will clean up the mess. RJF

I can't believe that folks still build homes in those areas. Where we live all we have to worry about is a tsunami. And earthquakes? I've lived through every one since 1952 with not even cracked plaster.

You do know we have the same idiots in Colorado.

Yeah! We were some of them. We lived in Woodland Park at 8500 feet. Our house was in the trees. We lived in fear of the idiot across the road from us. He liked to burn his trash in an open pit on windy days. A couple of years after we moved from there, a woman ranger started a small fire to burn a "dear jane" letter and burned up 133,000 acres. Didn't get our house though. Very close.
