Its been a few years since I posted here, life got complicated, sold my house last year and made a long distance move so sold most of my tools.

Anyhow  missed scrolling so picked up a new saw.

Considered a few options looked at the Wen as it had a low price , but had a Dewalt 788 in the past and knew that the wen  was not going to work for me.

So was looking for a good dealt on the dewalt when I found HD had the delta 20" on sale for $299.

It was delivered yesterday made a few test cuts today some Halloween stuff, its going to take a little to get back up to making some decent cuts🙄.

Anyhow so far happy with the Delta  does not seem much different then the dewalt .

Been so long it took me awhile to figure out where this forum was on the net.

Welcome back Herrwood, I hope you get back into the swing of things. I know exactly what you are going through as I sold everything to go full-time RVing. But, after we landed again, I had to buy all new stuff. Harbor Freight and Craigslist have become my two best friends. Well, with the exception of the folks here on The Village.

Welcome back. I did the same thing a couple of years ago when we moved from Oregon to Arizona. I sold a lot of stuff to make sure we would have room on our truck. Unfortunately I got rid of a couple of tools that I regret selling. My bandsaw and my compressor. It turned out that we would have had the room of both of them but I just did not want to take the chance at the time. I still miss both of those items but would still like to have them back in my shop

I moved with one of the pod containers to keep shipping costs low so there was not a lot of space.

The nice thing about a scroll saw is it fits anywhere. I do miss my floor drill press.

I could get another one but not sure I need it now I use to do some auto repair mostly 40-50's mopars.

As to compressors I had a 80 gal IR compressor which of course I left but I did bring a pancake compressor with me.

I feel your pain. When my wife and I decided that full-time RVing was going to work for us, I sold all of my tools. Everything we owned was either with us in the truck/5th wheel or in a 6 x 8 storage unit. That's when I found the hobby of woodcarving down in Texas. I ran into the Texas Woodcarver's Guild in an RV park on their semi-annual campout. They sparked my interest because it was something for me to do and it took no room at all. I still dabble with it but scrolling has taken me over almost completely. I do miss all of my tools and my shop space for sure.
