joleet Posted March 24, 2009 Report Posted March 24, 2009 Added a new cutting of my grandson and his fiance to my album. I used 1/2" solid oak and 1/8" BB plywood backing.... Ron T. Quote
Clayton717 Posted March 24, 2009 Report Posted March 24, 2009 very nice, thanks for showing it to us Quote
Travis Posted March 25, 2009 Report Posted March 25, 2009 That turned out great, Ron! You did a really nice job on the pattern. I usually cut 1/4", but I'm really liking the thicker wood! It adds a really nice demention to it. Nicely done! Quote
Christina Posted March 25, 2009 Report Posted March 25, 2009 Great job on the cutting and pattern both! Thanks so much for sharing your work with us. Christina Quote
joleet Posted March 25, 2009 Author Report Posted March 25, 2009 Thanks to all of you for your nice words. Travis, I usually use 1/2" Red Oak, however, I just got a small piece of White Oak and am anxious to try it. It is supposed to be a little softer and easier to cut. One member suggested Poplar since it has less noticable grain, but BOY is it hard!!! Mike would probably retire after all of my blade orders ha ha. Ron T. Quote
