I just found out that a young lady on my daughter's college team, lost her father suddenly from a massive heart attack at the young age of 54yo. I never met this girl nor her family but I felt the need to make her something as a father. This really hit me for some reason so I made her this sign. Her father was "the biggest Rolling Stones fan" so I added the RS logo with wings. I didn't want it to be the main focus of the 20191014_121839.thumb.jpg.9710934b4c1554ed4e0e85fa76d8c423.jpg20191014_121701-01.thumb.jpeg.401781d4fd822574a36a3fd8aa6825d5.jpeg20191014_121835-01.thumb.jpeg.5f21d9c0636ae941f4bad15694441770.jpegsign but as a reminder that he will always be looking down on her and will always be proud. They were a very close family it just breaks my heart!

I will be giving it to her and her mother very soon as a surprise

Thank you

Ed

Nice work Ed and I know that the family will treasure it.  It is very kind of you to do that for a young lady and her family.  You said she was on your daughter's "College Team" - what sport does your daughter play?  Mine played Volleyball for a DIII college.  She finished her career 2 years ago now - I miss watching her play.  I lost my Dad when he was 52 - i was 26.  No matter their age or yours, it always hurts to lose your parents.  You have made them something to help them remember him.  thanks for showing.

You are a very caring person.  The girl and her Mum will be blown away with your kindness.  A fabulous piece of art and tribute, well done.

When someone looses a loved one, being it a parent, child. spouse, other family member or a good friend, it hurts a lot. I think making something special for that person is so much more then flowers or cards and they cherish them and are always grateful to you for your taking the time to do that for them. I have often heard from people of whom I have made some time of memorial plaque, how much they continue to cherish them. Good for you, on this project
