Scrappile Posted October 30, 2019 Report Posted October 30, 2019 (edited) Received my package today: 21' x 6" x 1/4" in 36" lengths of beautiful African Mahogany for my winter project: http://www.finescrollsaw.com/cremona-wall-clock.htm 3' x 6" x 1/8" Cherry and 6' x 6" x 1/4" Cherry to finish the Bell Tower Clock I have been working on..... Beautiful wood.... all nicely milled and cut to my specified lengths. This is my second order and I really like what I have received from Cherokee Woods.... and so far I have had NO CUPPING problem with their wood. Total bill for the wood: $111. Plus $21.92 shipping.... heck, I could not drive to my local store that carries hardwood, for s little less than that, but I would have to mill what I bought from them.... a lot of waste. Yep, wood is expensive, so I like to buy where I am getting what I pay for. This is NOT A PAID ADVERTISEMENT. I'm just a happy customer... OCtoolguy Posted October 30, 2019 Report Posted October 30, 2019 Thanks for posting your great experience with buying from a place that I recommended Paul. They are a great source of scroll wood and if you need something not offered on their website, give Chris a call and he will do his best to help you out. I'm very lucky to be within driving distance of Cherokee Wood and I enjoy going there. I hope others will give them a try. Quote
Woodmaster1 Posted October 31, 2019 Report Posted October 31, 2019 That looks like an awesome project to tackle. OCtoolguy 1 Quote
ScollSaw Slasher Posted October 31, 2019 Report Posted October 31, 2019 I'll say it's a winter project!!! Keep saying that I'm going to do one more heirloom clock, but I just haven't built up the fortitude yet. Will be waiting for the finished project in the future and have fun cutting. Might be a good one to show and tell the progress as you move along with it. OCtoolguy 1 Quote
