Popular Post baggetta Posted October 30, 2019 Popular Post Report Posted October 30, 2019 (edited) Just spent the last couple of weeks working on this project for a fan of the old TV show "The Rifleman." He lives out in California and really loves everything about the series. I cut the names from cherry wood and mounted them on a large piece of 1/2" birch plywood, which I stained with an oak finish. To cover the edges of the board I used some oak strips and then did an inner frame from cherry. The whole thing was then coated with a satin sealer. The piece stands about 24" tall and about 18" wide. Edited February 3, 2020 by baggetta OzarkSawdust, lawson56, JimErn and 10 others 13 Quote
JimErn Posted October 30, 2019 Report Posted October 30, 2019 Very nice, man that brings back some memories. All the shows back then taught a moral, somewhere hollyweird seems to have forgot that RabidAlien and OzarkSawdust 2 Quote
trackman Posted October 30, 2019 Report Posted October 30, 2019 Outstanding job!! When I was a young boy I had the “rifleman’s” rifle. Me and my friends chased down many of the bad guys. Jim McDonald and OzarkSawdust 1 1 Quote

Bill WIlson Posted October 30, 2019 Report Posted October 30, 2019 That's pretty cool. The show was a little before my time, but INSP airs multiple episodes on Saturday mornings. I've probably seen them all at least 3-4 times. Someone took a count and did you know that the Rifleman killed 120 people over the course of the series? Yikes, poor Mark should've been scarred for life. Quote
