Sometimes, the cost of special wood can be too expensive for me and I would prefer to do segmentation. for that very reason. The results from segmentation is very satisfying but it can be a step up in the long run. One still needs to do what works for them. I usually just use what I have on hand and for the most part I and the people that see my work, all seem to enjoy it. Being retired and not a lot of money to spend on things, segmentation can work well

Great piece, by the way. One to be really proud of.

Hi, Chuck,
What patterns are you using for your segmentations, please?
I really like this deer project. You did an excellent job.
Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse

Spirithorse, the patterns come from a book I got from amazon called animal portraits in wood.

Thank you, Chuck,

I absolutely knew I had seen some of those designs before and I should still have a copy of that book
on my shelves but, hunted for about 1/2 an hour and still haven't located it.
Your excellent projects have made me decide I want to find those patterns again.

Thanks and God Bless! Spirithorse
