rustynail
I have been reviewing new saws ( as some may remembered from my posts) and had decided on the Pegas scroll saw. I had contacted Denny Knappen (member here) from ArtCrafters and ordered the saw from him. I got a very good price from him and also the saw was at my door with in just a couple of business days. Talk about fast service. Can’t wait to get it out of the box and trying it. Unfortunately it will have to wait for the weekend, but either way its in my shop so that’s a plus. hotshot
Not sure what your prior saw was, but if you have never used an upper tier saw, the first moments on an EX or DW style saw are a little shocking/magical. I still remember my first moments on the EX, I just couldn't believe it. Then the first blade change, I really really couldn't believe it. I can still feel that magic all these years later. And I know it doesn't help the performance . . . . but that Pegas color scheme is breathtaking. And I've met Denny at Artcrafters, wonderful store, wonderful person. -------Randy Edited November 12, 2019 by hotshot Dave Monk, Rolf, meflick and 2 others 4

I have a great idea.. that would work out well for all of us.. Since you're in Mid Michigan.. I'm in Southern Michigan.. and George is in Northern Indiana.. You'all could just meet in the middle at my house and set up that saw for me.. Rolf and OCtoolguy 1

Nah, I working on putting heat in the shop as we speak.. Had a lot of insulation given to me last week.. so I'm putting it up.. once I run out.. that'll be where I build a temporary wall.. wife told me to buy a furnace for the shop for my birthday.. She never said how big of one to get.. sooo there shouldn't be any snow in west anymore in West Michigan once I get this thing going... Woodmaster1
I have 50,000btu natural gas bigmaxx heater hanging from my ceiling and it maintains 68 degrees 24/7 in the winter at little cost. Kevin I hope you have the same luck as me on cost. Edited November 14, 2019 by Woodmaster1 OCtoolguy and kmmcrafts

Rolf
Richard I look forward to a report on the New Pegas when you have used it for a bit. I do love that color. Denny I didn't know you were a dealer. Randy I had those feelings when I first received my Hawk G4 back in 2005, I am having those same feelings again with the New to me EX16 Pegas clamps. I have about 7 hours on the saw making Christmas ornament inventory. OCtoolguy

Rolf, Once I get some time in on it I will let the forum know my thoughts, sorry to say I did not get to the saw this weekend except to get it out of the box. I had to do some insulation this weekend so my saw time did not happen. Richard OCtoolguy
Rolf
It stinks when life gets in the way of fun Randy, I have been making all small ornaments so only bottom feeding, and I am using the Olson 2/0 R and that is a stiffer blade so no hockey stick.
