Search engine

Greetings!

On a few occassions I happened to see thumb-nails of Random files that came up when I logged in and

would like to see the project full size but, when I use the search engine for what-ever the

project was labeled no such file was located.

For example, in Random files was a pic labeled planetarypatman. When I typed that into the

search engine, no files were located. I know plantarypatman is a member and has several posts but,

the search didn't locate anything at all.

Any suggestions to help?

Thanks and God Bless! Spirithorse

Lets see if I can answer this for you. The search in the forum area is only for the forums as best as I can tell. It would also seem that it only searches the body of the postings when you conduct a search. If you want to conduct a search of the gallery you will need to click on the gallery and use the search link there to find the pictures there (Make sure you select the correct options for your search. I believe that the reason for this is because the gallery and the forums while tied together via links, they are not intergrated together. Travis can give you a better answer but I believe I am at least close to the mark. I hope I have answered you question.

We have 3 search engines here. The forum search engine is in the tan bar. This searches forum posts. If you want to search the Gallery, click the search button in the Gallery. That searches only the Gallery. The last one is at the top of the screen. This is Google's search engine. It produces better results, but its only as good if Google crawls the site on a regular basis. Its somewhat hit-or-miss. I'd recommend using the Gallery Search engine if you're looking for gallery stuff.

Chris is right about the software. While they are bridged with user accounts, they're completely separate pieces of software. They don't really talk to each other except for passing on basic login information.
