Foredom brand Super Quiet Dust Collector

I just looked up the Foredom DC. It makes more sense than anything I've seen before. Unfortunately it is priced far beyond anything I can imagine. I liked the mine dust container. I have the Harbor Freight Dust Stopper on a 5 gallon bucket. Ridiculous for a little scroll saw. I mostly cut with a # 2/0 or #1 blade. It would take a millennium to begin to fill a 5 gallon bucket. I also like the Seco DC for it's small collector container. But then what the ...do I know?

It is very expensive and there are practically no reviews for it anywhere. One of the fein vacs may do the trick, they seem to be pretty quiet. At least most of the reviews say they are.

Holy Moly, that thing is expensive! Just like any tool, if you can afford it than go for it, but not for me. I have a full size dust Collector that I have connected to my saw as well as all my other tools. It cost less than half of that thing!

Yea it's a bit much, I'll have to find a less expensive option.Maybe a FEIN vac with a dust deputy.I'm still in the planning stages right now so no hurry

I do have a Dust Deputy hooked up to a shop vac that I use for sanding with my random orbital sander only. It does a great job of collecting the dust from the ROS into the five gallon bucket. I use the sander on every project I make, so it gets used a lot. I only have to clean the shop Vac filter once a year. With a quiet vac, it should do the trick hooked up to a scroll saw. You have to have a port under the table to collect the dust that falls under the table, but most importantly, you have to have a port above the table to collect the airborne dust. That is most important!

Where did you find those cute yellow funnels? Your photos are very interesting. I think your using larger diameter hoses and nozzles makes sense.

This was two kits from Woodcraft plus the wye and adapters. Keep in mind this is hooked up to 4” hose after the tee then to my dust collector.
