Popular Post Marshall Dillon Posted December 7, 2019 Popular Post Report Posted December 7, 2019 Made my first - seven piece Nativity box some 6 months ago and entered it in the Northeast Arkansas Fair in September and it won the big Blue - and shortly afterwards received a order for 8 more . It's a Steve Good Pattern , remember when making this that the cuts need to be as precise as possible - if not will cause you a lot more sanding . It's still take some tweeting on the top lid to make it shut perfect , this project is made from 1/8" BB Plywood and the top and bottom pieces are 1/4" Walnut material and several light coats of high gloss spray lacquer with sanding in between coats . Any comments welcomed .... meflick, Fran L, namunolie and 10 others 11 2 Quote
OzarkSawdust Posted December 7, 2019 Report Posted December 7, 2019 Very beautiful Marshall! Congrats on the fair ribbon! I hadn't thought of entering scroll work at the fair...would be good exposure for my work. What category was it entered in? Really nice detail, and contrasting woods. Marshall Dillon 1 Quote

RabidAlien Posted December 7, 2019 Report Posted December 7, 2019 Very nice!!! Take a look around the Interwebs for "papercutting light boxes" for some excellent, easily-adapted-to-scrolling multi-layer patterns. Marshall Dillon and John B 2 Quote
