Waiting and Waiting - It Arrived

My new Hegner was supposed to be here yesterday according to the UPS website but no show.  Probably show up Monday when I cannot play with it.  I get a spinal injection in the morning and not allowed to touch my tools for 24 hours.  I have Reindeer to make!!

Sorry to hear your Saw was not delivered. I know how excited you were waiting for it, and how disappointed it was to not get it as expected. Almost like expecting Santa and then him not showing. Hopefully it will indeed show up Monday so you can be ready to go on a Tuesday. Look at it this way - at least your injection is scheduled for the morning rather than the late afternoon - that way you aren’t blowing two days. Hope the spinal injection goes well and helps with your issues.

I know how you feel.  I have a router lift that was suppose to arrive at my post office yesterday.  Delivered by UPS SurePost.  I received a message late in the afternoon "Unfortunately, UPS SurePost couldn’t complete your delivery because no one was available to sign for it".  Ya right, the main post office in our area and no body around in the middle of the afternoon..... This is the second time this has happened.  They need to work this out.  It is a bogus message, really telling me they are behind on deliveries and skipping this one will help catch up... That I understand, but I hate to be lied to.

I'm really sorry to hear your saw didn't arrive but I'm even more sorry to hear about your spinal problems and the injection. I hope it all goes well and the discomfort is minimal. Lots of time to play with your new toy once you are feeling better. Prayers for you.

I know how that is... My Hawk took 4 months.. LOL

Best of luck with the injection.. My wife had steroid injections in her back for a period of time..

My new Hegner arrives and blooms great with no dings, gouges or damage.  Unfortunately, I can just look at the box as I can not do anything for 24 hours.  Had multiple shots in lumbar spine today  I have had them before to help reduce back lain.

Yeah, it is a constant battle with the back but every little bit helps.

If you run out of wood try some new materials. Make a figure out of an ice cube, Cut paper plate into clever figure shapes for up scale serving, Take pieces of drywall out and cut in custom patterns, then the drywall can be put back in for a one of a kind wall. Cut cucumbers into whole new shapes for salads. Just think of the patterns you could make taking up the hardwood floor and laying it back down! RJF

I have several hundred board feet of wood in my inventory including domestics and exotics.  I resaw thicker wood to get thinner woods and then run thru a planer or sander for some projects.  I will not be running out of wood.

It is a brand new saw from Advanced Machinery and weighs 54#.

Is this your first Hegner? It is a great saw. Most of our senior members had them when I joined the club years ago.  I was a rebel when I bought my Hawk.

Rolf, You have seen pictures of my old Hegner with the dust collection on it.  I am using the stand from my old Hegner for the new one.

I finally got it out of the box and started getting it set up.  I am slow as had an outpatient procedure earlier this week.
