That is very similar to the one I have. There were some folks who moved out of here a couple of years ago and I scavenged it from their lot before all the junk pickers got to it. Great little chair for my EX. Still need something taller for the Hawk though. Edited January 4, 2020 by octoolguy Mimi

I have a shop stool that I have been using for my Hawk but I haven't come up with a suitable place to mount my foot switch. Any ideas? new2woodwrk and Mimi

The setup I'm using is a hybrid; bottom of the chair is a HF chair that came with a motorcycle seat the top is a tractor seat from a chair I bought at Tractor Supply Co., the platform is 1/2" ply 2x4ft with a hole to fit the post in the chair, the hole is offset front to back to allow room for the foot switch. Maybe this will give you some ideas. Mimi, new2woodwrk and OCtoolguy 2

The stand lets me attach my pedal to the front crossbar with a couple of zip-ties. I drilled a hole in the bar just big enough to put the zip-tie through it. On the other end of the pedal I just zip-tied the wires going into the pedal. This setup is perfect for the height I like to be when cutting. I have no idea if this setup will work for other makes of saws but it works for me. My new stool came from Costco. My butt is extremely comfortable because it has lots of padding which is truly a blessing for when I'm sitting for more than a few hours at a time. The back curves into my lower back giving it very good support. /Oscar OCtoolguy, Mimi and Jim McDonald 1

By the way, I posted a long while back on how to reroute the wire coming out of the side of that foot switch so that both wires come up the same place. It really helps to keep both wires in the same orientation. I hated that wire coming out of the side. It was always getting in the way. I will have to check our Costco for the chair. Thanks again. kmmcrafts
That's how I had my foot switch on my DeWalt.. Though the way I mounted mine I didn't need to drill any holes it had molded tabs on each end where you could drill a hole to mount it.. I used the tap as a clamp so to speak and just wrapped the zip ties around the stand.. Held in place nice but every now and then it'd slip forward and I'd have to wiggle it back... I had a HF on / off foot switch for that saw and it had the wires coming out the same end.. Mimi, OCtoolguy and Oscar Myer
Woodmaster1
Excellent ideas now I need to choose which one will work for me. Decisions are always hard. I may try a variety to see which is best. OCtoolguy
