Popular Post Charlie E
I cut this pattern by @wild bill a little over a year ago. When I showed it to a widow woman who lives on my street she hugged it and said she loved Festus so I no longer have it. I cut it again today and added a few details around the nose and forehead. This will be going back on my shop wall to replace the other one. No western loving widow women allowed to view it. jellis2, zeyherb, Ninuninu and 14 others 16
OSU Buckeye
Festus is one of my all time favorites. I love the way he and Doc Adams would needle each other. Great job on the portrait of the old scudder. Mike Charlie E and amazingkevin 1

Much better reward than something as common as money! The money would be long gone by now but the warm feeling lives on. amazingkevin and meflick
wombatie
Look on the bright side, you have a better one than the one you gave away. It was good of you to give the other one to her, very generous. Marg amazingkevin and Charlie E 1

trackman
Really like the way you made it self framed. A friend of my wife is a big gunsmoke fan. Mainly Mr Dillon. Now for me I am a big fan of Miss Kitty . Charlie E, meflick and amazingkevin 1

Thanks! The wood is 1/2"ish red oak. The picture is almost square, about 6 X 6 1/2. The pattern is in the pattern library. I added some detail here and there. amazingkevin and Gordon 121 1
heppnerguy
I love giving away 'that special piece' that someone sees on my shop wall. I almost always take it down and give it to them. You are so right about the reaction being way more lasting and pleasing then the money you could have sold it for. this is an outstanding piece and your little additions brought out a lot of feeling in this piece.
