Whisper
I'm trying not to spend a fortune on my scroll saw hobby until I get really good at it, so rather than buy a bunch of different stains I grabbed a pack of these at Amazon. There's 5 colors and only about 17.00. A smidgen goes a long way. Right now, I'm sawing pine and plywood until I trust myself to use the good wood I ordered from Heritage. So if anyone wants to save some money starting out and get some variety at the same time, this is a good way to do it. I did a Teddy, segmented and used the brown to stain the body, left the feet bottoms and ear insides natural pine, then used the blue on a scarf he's wearing. Sorry, still no pics because I have to figure out my tablet still and I'm more interested in learning to saw. LOL Here's a link in case anyone wants to try it. https://www.amazon.com/Wood-Dye-Aniline-Color-Stain/dp/B00BAKWTMQ/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=3S4OZ6TNBEP8Y&keywords=keda+wood+dye&qid=1579213718&s=hi&sprefix=keda+%2Ctools%2C165&sr=1-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUFXNDRDWU9JQjZYViZlbmNyeXB0ZWRJZD1BMDQ3MTg0NzNWWlNHTjk1OU1JWVEmZW5jcnlwdGVkQWRJZD1BMDgwOTQ2MUxQUVU3SzZRMDdWSyZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU= new2woodwrk, Lucky2, Scrappile and 2 others 4

OCtoolguy
I sounds like you and my wife need to go to the same class. She is STILL trying to figure out her phone. I bought her the exact same one that I have so I could help her but when I try, I get the "don't bother me" routine. So, I just sit and shut my trap. I go though the same thing with my wife with the cell phone and computer. I just spent $800 on anew phone for her and she just does Facebook. She only uses our land line. On the other hand, I can spend whatever I want on tools and hobbies. It all works out. Whisper and OCtoolguy 1
Whisper
I'll try and set aside a few minutes tomorrow to get the tablet pics going on. I'm really happy with the brown stain. I made another teddy today and reversed the image, this one has a pink scarf stained with the powder. You just take a tablespoon of warm water and a smidgen of the powder, mix it and then I added an ounce of alcohol. It mixed right up. No lumps and no settling to the bottom. I did get my oscillating sander set up today. I want to get the table top sander that has the flex drums on it. I wish I had known that is really what I needed before I bought what I did. Another thing that I am glad I bought are the silicone finger protectors. I wouldn't have had any skin left if I hadn't had those on. I was outside and the dog was having a blast chasing the pieces that flew out of my hands and off the balcony into the yard. lol I had to run to keep him from chewing them, he's still a pup. Fran L
Took me a few lessons but my wife finally taught me how to get my pictures from my phone to the website. Still haven’t gotten to the point of transferring the pictures to my computer and doing it from there but at least I got that far.
Whisper
I bought a digital camera tonight, I'll have it by Wednesday. I'm used to uploading pictures on my PC, so hopefully it won't be an exercise in hair ripping like my printer last night. I cut out 2 more of the Teddys tonight. One will probably look weird because I used a scrap piece of pine and the grain happened to go sideways instead of vertical like the other 3. This is the pattern I'm using, I know some of you have cut this one, too. https://scrollsawnewb.com/intarsia-teddy-bear-pattern/
