Popular Post flarud
I have made several of these now. These two are for my brother's two girls. One got married back in '17 and the other this coming July. I used some crotch Walnut for the bases and Cherry for the top part. It's hard to see in the pics, but the grain on the crotch Walnut is really cool looking. frankorona, Ninuninu, meflick and 9 others

Foxfold
Barry, may I ask how you do your 'letters' ? They are beautiful.
flarud
I can't take credit for the letters. My wife has a Cricut cutting machine and makes all of the names and filigree out of vinyl and she heat transfers them onto the wood. Unfortunately I had to re-do the last name on one of them. My SIL informed me that we had the wrong last name on the base of one of them! We do not know my niece's fiance' so we used the name that we found on Facebook. Turns out it wasn't his last name that we saw on FB, it was his middle name! So I had to sand off the name and try again,, it turned out okay the second time around. Foxfold
