aj43
I know there are free fonts galore because I download them all the time for other uses. I was hoping for suggestions pof some that are scroll-friendly that scrollers use all the time. STENCILFY is about what I am doing already, but it sure is nice to let someone else do all the work for you. Thanks for the information so far. -aj43 OCtoolguy
jollyred
Looks like it would save a lot of work on the fonts I use. Only problem is it won't let me use any of the fonts I have in my computer. For me it will only work on the fonts it has listed. Does anyone else have this problem? don in brooklin on
When I try and select a font from my window\fonts I get a message that I have to be the admin to access. Therefore, I go to Nexusfont and select font and then copy to a backup directory. Then in then STENCILFY program go to the directory and select font you want and then STENCILFY. Viola. Not sure it is the way I would do it. Here is the example I ran an example with bird of paradise. Here is the sample of before and answer. jollyred, OzarkSawdust and OCtoolguy 1

I got Bird Of Paradise in my laptop once and used it...liked it. Then it disappeared and I can't get it to reload! I like the font you used to design the "Jake & Barbara" part of this sign for me (thanks again) but don't know what it's called or where you got it. It's very nice looking when cut. Could you please send me the info? I saved Stencilfy also, It will probably come in handy...Thanks for sharing! don in brooklin on
Hi Gary The font I use for Intersecting Word Art is Times or New Times as the big letters and Scroll_scriptmt for the small. I have used other script fonts for the small including bird of paradise but find it easier not adding the bridges. BoP also requires some kerning. I have no idea where this comes from as I have been saving fonts for years and years. Make sure to save to disk. Then go to the folder you save the font in and right click and install for all users. This is the problem that some people have with bird of paradise. Scroll_scriptmt.ttf bobscroll, OCtoolguy and OzarkSawdust 1

I downloaded the one you sent, install for all users, opened Inkscape and wrote our names...perfect the first time with no problems! I like the look of this one...and it is easier not having to go back and add bridges, and maybe miss one till cutting it...oops.

Scroll_scriptmt.ttf 29.29 kB · 3 downloads Thanks Don, you reminded me about the NexusFont program and I have taken the time to learn how to use it. It is really a neat program and you can create a font file collection for most any subject matter. Now, I have a place to store all the fonts that I might want/need for scroll saw projects. Thanks again. It does take a bit of learning but all-in-all it's pretty easy.
