Popular Post Ninuninu
Nearly a year ago I got married to my partner and decided that I would cut a few things for our reception. Here is what I came up with... the Missus was very happy with the results I started off with this sign which sat atop something else but that will come later. I also cut our guest book obviously to the Missus specifications and also a sign to go along side it Finally after bashing my brains out thinking what the heck I could do for the guest place names, I didn't really want to use paper, I came up with the following. They were also given as gifts to each of our guests to take home with them and very much appreciated. Having to cut almost 60 of these took a bit of time but seeing our guests faces when they realized they got to keep them was worth the effort put into it As usual everything was cut by hand using my fret saw. Thanks guys and have a good one. Tony amazingkevin, frankorona, Dave Monk and 11 others 13

Gordon 121
Way to go that's about as original as it gets very nice work, if you had a Turner you could have made the pens for signing the register or did I take that a bit too far lol great cutting of the names Gordon Ninuninu

Scrappile
That is all beautiful work, even had it been done with a scroll saw. With a fretsaw, I can not even imagine. Only thing I can think of is you proposed 15 years ago and set the wedding date to a week after you finish all that work. You are definitely a true artist... Have been thinking about wood turning for a while and am really at a loss because I don't have the room for a lathe... unless I try small things on one of those micro machines Tony

Thanks Paul. Took a bit of time to do everything most especially the names. The main obstacle was getting them from home to the wedding venue without any mishaps. Was very lucky when it came to that as they all got there in pristine condition. I appreciate the comment but feel I am still a long way off from being an artist... but I won't stop trying.
