Newsawontheblock
Hi guys, I’ve been considering purchasing Pegas blade clamps. Are they worth the price, or should I stick with my EX clamps till they wear out? Thanks OCtoolguy and OzarkSawdust 1
tgiro
Go with the Pegas clamps. I used the OEM EX clamps and I'm guilty of over tightening the bottom clamp, so I was replacing it every year. SInce I've upgraded to the Pedas clamps, I've had no problems. dgman
If there is nothing wrong with your current clamps, then don’t worry about changing them. “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!”. If however you are having problems with your current clamps, then by all means, replace them with the Pegas clamps. Gonzo
I ordered the Pegas clamps from Denny at Art Crafters the same time I bought blades from him. (He is here on the forums). That was back before Thanksgiving. I just put them on this past week. What a difference! Much smoother, less vibration. I will be purchasing another set of clamps for my other EX-21 from Denny come Spring time. In a nut shell, if you can afford it, go for it! OzarkSawdust
Pegas clamps all the way! Call Denny, he'll fix you up quickly. OCtoolguy, Newsawontheblock and scrollingforsanity 1
Scrappile
I agree with @dgman, if you get along with the originals I would stick with them until you need to replace them or if there is a good sale on the Pegas clamps like Denny had a while back. I have the Pegas clamps, they are a nicer clamp than the originals, but I don't scroll any better because of them. Newsawontheblock
Thank you guys for your help. I think I’ll just stick to the EX clamps for now... maybe I’ll upgrade in the future, or when my current clamps wear out. scrollingforsanity
I have Pegas clamps on both my saws and love them over the stock EX and Seyco clamps. I am with the others though I would wait until your current ones start giving you problems and then definitely upgrade. Unless you just happen to have $90.00 laying around you don't need. They are worth the upgrade when you have to change clamps Newsawontheblock and OCtoolguy
Roberta Moreton
I put Pegas clamps on my EX 21. My only regret is that I didn’t do it sooner Jim McDonald, OCtoolguy and scrollingforsanity 2

It was difficult to "bite" that $100 bullet. I did get mine for under $90 and free shipping though. But still, that's a lot of cans and bottles. scrollingforsanity

When I needed short bullets I had to collect enough bottles to pay for them. Never could collect enough for long rifle bullets! scrollingforsanity and OCtoolguy 1
