They cut ok but time will tell. I had been using #1 MG in double ply of 1/4 inch they cut well but are a little flimsy in that much wood. Hi Norm. Enjoy the new blades. Denny Knappen
We have been a distributor for Pegas for only seven months, but I feel we offer good prices and great service on the blades. As for service, we have good inventory an shipping by USPS usually takes three days. Orders over $35 are shipped free. OCtoolguy
scrollingforsanity
I also had some bad FD blades a couple years ago. They just were not sharp enough to cut anything. The Wooden Teddy bear sent me 2 new gross immediately then contacted their FD rep and he said they were having some issues at that time. FD has everything taken care of and the new blades I received were great I just like the Pegas better and will continue to use them. I will be getting my next blades from Denny as everybody is happy with his service. I spoke with him a few days ago on the phone and he was very helpful. ScollSaw Slasher
Don't buy them by the gross as some of you, but noted on the last Pegas #3 and #5 that they just didn't seem to work as well. Actually went back to FD's for my last word art projects. Except for the increase drift that I had to relearn to compensate for (which is the reason that I went to Pegas), seemed to cut better overall. But that is just in my hands. scrollingforsanity and OCtoolguy
kmmcrafts
I still use blades from all the major brands and once in a while switch things up on purpose just to give myself a challenge and also to remind myself what blades are really my favorite, LOL.. I have several gross of FD blades that was my go to blade for years.. I'm slowly trying to use them up.. Have considered using those instead of placing an order soon for the Pegas.. Several hundred $$ in stock of FD blades that just sitting there.. Also a few gross of Olsen blades... certainly enough blades to last me another year+ if I decide to use them up, LOL I also have many sample packs of the Pegas that are not the MG blades that I should use up.. so I may just run through these blades for the year and save myself the money and use up these blades.. scrollingforsanity and OCtoolguy
Dennisfm56
I didn't bother using a micrometer on them but I just opened my first pack from Denny, and have noticed they seem to be a just that proverbial hair larger. Will still go thru a #60 drilled hole. Still like and already ordered and received my 2nd gross from Denny. OCtoolguy

scrollingforsanity
You guy's are right I believe they are a hair larger hence the mot turning in the tight corners quite as well. Pegas is replacing my blades and taking them back to mic them, The first dozen out of the gross almost all of them would barely fit through the #60 hole. Had to use pliers to help them. The next three dozen have been working fairly well. I will still buy them and use them. In a short while we will forget what the older version was like. Progress they call it I think. Puzzleguy
Wondering if thats not their way to cut back on availability to save on costs . other brands have done the same thing Hegners dropped a #3 variation as well as mike moreland's flying dutchman brand. I asked mike directly why he deleted the #3 blade type i liked, and his response was the new one was better for puzzles - My response was- its not better ! ( don't think he cared because it was not a big seller for him ) I'm using that pegas blade your describing - so its back to the drawing board - thanks for sharing , you saved me a headache. scrollingforsanity
Tony they still work okay. I am still using them with pretty fair success. I am just disappointed that they thought they had to change them. Maybe they could have gotten some feedback from the people that back actually use them the most. Maybe they did I don't know. Don't quit using them just because I am unhappy. I am cutting puzzles from poplar right now. They cut okay. The first dozen I opened most of the blades would not go through a #60 drill bit hole. The others I have opened only have one or two that is a tight fit. The old #3 blades would go through a #58 hole most often. It's unfortunate that they keep changing blades out there I have spent a lot of money trying new blades and when I find one I like I like to stick with it. Puzzleguy
to be fair to Bearwoods i though Id throw in my 2 cents - I have delt with them about three times , and each time they treated me fairly. I had one small problem with an order and they took care of it quickly and all is well IMO if you have a problem with them , give them a call -their nice people ( i never email someone about problems when a phone number is available ) of course Id like to know about other Pegas dealers - our members recommend ! Pegas blades are a bit touchy and more fragile than some blades ( IMO ) -i think they have more temper to them which give them less life in some saws and more in others . My main cutting saw is a Eclipse saw - and it likes Pegas blades -thou i have to say I use other blades depending on what i have to do - Tony scrollingforsanity

OzarkSawdust
I didn't care for Olsens, and FDs went where they wanted. I've found my favorites in Pegas. I used #5s at first but found the #3s are my go to blades by far, in fact I have another gross coming from Denny. I do use an occasional #1 also, and I keep a few spirals in a cage in the far corner of the shop. scrollingforsanity
scrollingforsanity
I used Olson blades for years and still have a couple gross laying around. Then went to FD blades which I still use the #1 silver reverse blade. Then Pegas. Mostly use the #3 Mg but use #5 MG quite a bit and a very few #1 MG. The Pegas blades are my favorite but if you bend one it's going to break pretty quickly. I think you are right it must be the way they are tempered. If I live long enough someone may come out with a new blade.
