jboyd
Hi Everyone, I'm new here and somewhat new to scrolling. I really like your site. I have a question. When framing your portrait cuts do any of you frame them behind glass? Thanks!!
Messman
I don't currently. But if I were to have something entered into a show, or if it was a cutting I charged a large amount for I probably would.

Eagledrum70
I always have just to keep the dust from getting down in the black areas, also it looks better. I started out using plexiglass better known as plastic or acrylic. I thought this was a cheaper way to go, but it was not . I started using regular glass that you can get cut at most hardware stores . I get mine at Lowes Home Improvements. You can get glass and get it cut for around 2 dollars depending on size and it looks professional. Eagledrum70

Old Dust
I cut my portrait boards to either 8"X10" or 8 1/2" X 11" and get wood frames from the Dollar Tree store. They have 'certificate' frames the the 8 1/2" X 11" fit, all for only $1 each. All with glass. John Old Dust

wombatie
I use the cheap frames too, the place I get them from have some real wood (not plastic) black frames they look hand made. Marg
Xray
If you just cut straight lines, glass is super simple to cut with one of those basic $3 glass cutters.
