I try to stay on the line as much as possible.  However, I know that at some point while cutting the project I'm going to drift now and then.  I've come to realize that I must ease back onto the line.  I've also corrected my habit of pulling the project from one side or to the other against the blade isn't going to do anything to help getting back on the line.  Perhaps doing this can be chalked up to my newb status.😁   I've also learned that when I try to fix a "bad cut" after the waste piece comes out can make it even worse.

Yea, those are the lessons every scroller needs to learn the hard way.  I've tried to explain the concept to my 10 year old grandson, as I teach him scrolling.  Our instinctive reaction though often overcomes our academic understanding.
