Here is a photo of the end result: I should have looked at the pattern more closely before I purchased it. I had expected to give it to Margaret tomorrow in pieces and then have her connect the interlocking pieces to symbolically join us together then to set the combined hearts on the kitchen windowsill. But, if you closely examine the pieces: you will see that, although they can be joined, they do not really interlock. I guess that Sue expected all the pieces to be glued together and that is what I will, eventually do. But, I like the idea of giving this to Margaret in pieces tomorrow. So, I temporarily attached Velcro strips to the back of the larger pieces. When joined the configuration does stand up. I will leave it that way for Valentine's Day, then glue everything together.
