Popular Post Whisper Posted February 15, 2020 Popular Post Report Posted February 15, 2020 (edited) I got this from Steve Good's site. I used plywood, wood stain, diluted metallic acrylics and some irridescent paint medium with a satin finish. I had some issues with the blade at first and messed up my circles and I used way too big of a drill bit to make the entry hole. This is the most complicated one so far. I enjoyed making it and gave it to my husband for valentine's day. I'm also adding a picture of Buddy my shop doggie. rjR Posted February 15, 2020 Report Posted February 15, 2020 Gorgeous. Well cut and just the right amount of coloration added. Not too little and not so much to hide the woodgrain either! That is another skill too! Whisper 1 Quote

I started out doing this kind of scrolling and have never done fretwork. The first pattern I tried was a whale, it's only a few pieces. https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1395/0011/files/Whale-Intarsia-instructions1.pdf?548 It's free and so are these. They're intarsia, but I just cut things out of one board and stain or paint the pieces different colors. https://intarsia.com/pages/download-free-intarsia-patterns Ninuninu 1 Quote

Buddy is a Dollar Store Dog. Got him at the Dollar Store. I went there one night and he was standing in the auto doors and irritating the people that worked there. He'd been hanging around there for a week and was starving to death. Poor guy's ribs were literally sticking out. I brought him home, my husband and I had been wanting a dog anyway. We've had him for about 2 months now, he's enjoying all the food and pets and running around on 1.5 acres of fenced in property. I love this pup and so does my husband. Spoiled!!! Gordon 121 1 Quote

We'd been trying to find a dog for a few months and there he was! My husband was surprised with his gift, he'll be even more surprised when I sell it to my sister's friend. Bwahaha! Just kidding, I'll make her another one. dgman 1 Quote
