Popular Post Badgerboy
My son and granddaughter love giraffes so I cut this simple puzzle out for them. The spot “art work” took almost as long as cutting . barb.j.enders, Tomanydogs, jollyred and 10 others

dgman
Looks great Todd! The first time I cut that pattern my saw table was not perfectly square to the blade. The pieces fit together from only one side. It sat on my shelf of shame for a couple of years. I decided to see if I could fix it. I made sure the table was square, turned the puzzle over and carefully followed the existing lines with the pieces pushed together. This actually worked. I took it to a show and it sold! amazingkevin

I had some of the same fitting problems here but was able to fix with a bit of fine file work. I suspect my problem was a dull blade and pushing to hard which created some drag on the bottom of the cut and therefore unsquare joints. rjR
Very nice work. This looks like it will be easier to assemble upside down. Are the spots painted or woodburned?
spirithorse
Very nice project! I'd guess those spots would have taken me longer than the cutting. Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse

The spots were drawn with a brown permanent marker over the stain then the whole project dipped in danish oil
