I'll be glad to get to the point where I can appreciate my work as others seem to. Thank you for your encouragement.

Imagination can sometimes improve a certain project making it your own. That's the way I think when doing any project. Ron, Thank you so much. With encouragement like yours I'm beginning to feel that my efforts are more worth it than I have realized. Especially when individuals like you, who have so much more experience, compliment my work. I'd like to see some of the fanciful and realistic dragons, not to do any, just because I admire creativity in people. Actually, Inlay is quite simple to do but unforgiving. No going back to correct a cut once you start. It is a one way cut all the way around the pattern. I am no artist so I get almost all of my patterns from the internet or from scroll saw books. I alter them a bit to suit me though. The last one here is an inlay not a 3d cut. Lucky2

From looking at the things you’ve done, I would say you’d be able to do anything you put your mind too. Jim Finn

I like the inlay, also. I would have to think about that before I attempted one. I looks a bit intimidating.

Typically I spend about six minutes at the saw doing one. There is more to it than the saw cutting, including sanding flat but not hard or tricky at all. Getting set up before the saw cut is important so I have one scroll saw set up for it an use it only for inlay.
