heppnerguy Posted March 9, 2020 Report Posted March 9, 2020 your new endeavor should be adding a lot of new interest in your scrolling life. I started with intarsia and sort of got tired of how long it takes to make a piece and started doing scrolling instead. I still do one now and then but I enjoy scrolling more. This gives you a little bit of a new interest and my change did for me and doing new things often helps to inspire someone. Nice little piece. It looks really good. As you continue to do intarsia, you should find out that some parts get a little easier as you go along, you know, like it does with scrolling. Keep knocking out these and posting them for all of us to enjoy. It makes me want to do a little more intarsia, just for a little change of pace. Thanks for the reminder Dick heppnerguy JimErn 1 Quote

spirithorse Posted March 10, 2020 Report Posted March 10, 2020 Beautiful work Jim, You really shaped this well and I like everything about it. The wood choices are fantastic and the backer really enhances without distracting. I don't think I ever saw that piece with a backer like that. God Bless! Spirithorse JimErn 1 Quote
Dragonkort Posted March 10, 2020 Report Posted March 10, 2020 beautiful!!! I have a segmeation book, did a few things out of it, maybe i'll get it out again and try to do something different.
