Only cut 1 puzzle today :(

I had to hang a track light today, which kicked my butt. Finding studs in my textured ceilings are a real PITA!

Anyway, I did manage to cut one puzzle today.

And a BIG shout out and thank you so much to @heppnerguy, Dick for some great advice on how to cut straight lines

Dick - it worked like a charm... YOU THE MAN!!!!

So here is the newest addition to my collection, cut in Maple, Pegas #3. Not sanded or finished yet, that is later in the week.

Also I left the wheels patterns on because the detail cuts require a small drill which I somehow lost during the hurricane and just re-ordered for delivery tomorrow or Thursday.

Thanks as always in advance for reading

I think your puzzle is great !!   Don't you just hate it when life gets in the way of our crafting !!!  I didn't get a chance to do anything today but transplant plants. lol but I have a lot of thing ready and waiting for me to start tomarrow if I get done transplanting the last 2 plants early enough.  I use the spiral blades when I make puzzles because when I use the regular blades sometimes the pieces don't fit together right.  Iv been fansanated by all the different sized blades everyone uses. I usuly just use a number 7 for everything lol that's what the ex bought me so that's pretty much all I use. now after I taught ritia how to scroll she started getting different sized blades...smaller blades usuly and she taught me how to use the small blades when I do fret work.  teaching myself from books I guess I don't do everything the way its suppose to be done. lol but as long as it works I guess its not a problem lol

very nice cutting, are you going to share Dicks advise on cutting a straight line, RJ

Here ya go - you probably already know and do this, but it really helped me alot...

... Your blade choose was too large also. If I were going to cut something similar to what I posted above, I would use 1/4 to 3/8 inch maximum thickness and use the Pegas 3MG or even down to a 1 MG blade. Go slow  and do not push your wood but rather let the blade to the cutting. I would put my saw speed about  1/3 speed for control.  Not too slow but not very fast either.  ...
