OzarkSawdust Posted March 11, 2020 Report Posted March 11, 2020 Dumb question...why are the slots on the motor mount? What difference will it make if I move the motor? OCtoolguy and amazingkevin 2 Quote
Rolf Posted March 11, 2020 Report Posted March 11, 2020 Rotating the motor changes the front to back blade motion. scrollingforsanity, amazingkevin and OCtoolguy 2 1 Quote
Scrappile Posted March 11, 2020 Report Posted March 11, 2020 It should be explained in your owners manual. Least it did in mine when I owned an Excalibur. I think there are some Youtube video explaining it also. People do it to reduce vibration. There are people on here that have done it, I never did, so they can give more info... OCtoolguy Posted March 11, 2020 Report Posted March 11, 2020 I've done it on both of my EX's to decrease the aggressiveness of the blade. If you don't understand what that means, let us know. scrollingforsanity 1 Quote

It probably does...but it's in my desk at home...in Missouri...I'm in south Texas on the border for the winter. I didn't think of You Tube though...everything else is on there somewhere. OzarkSawdust Posted March 12, 2020 Author Report Posted March 12, 2020 just got a call back from Ray at Seyco! At almost 8 PM ! First time I've talked to him...really nice guy. He quickly helped me with a couple of questions...now all's right with the world...or at least my saw. Now...if I can just get a couple more puzzle animals cut before tomorrow's show....#3 of 5 this week. OCtoolguy and amazingkevin 1 1 Quote

teachnlearn Posted March 15, 2020 Report Posted March 15, 2020 Milwaukee Sawalls had an aggressive feature. Rather then just up and down motion, it adjusted a forward motion. As the saw ran the blade moved down and forward a bit. By adjusting it moved the forward motion more and more. For cutting a wood beam an aggressive setting cut through it fast. Setting it to a non aggressive setting for say a pipe let the saw cut through smoothly without it bouncing around. RJF OCtoolguy and amazingkevin 1 1 Quote
