Popular Post Frank Pellow
This a another Sue Mey pattern that I purchased a few years ago the ignored. I cut it out of three 3mm thick layers of Baltic Birch plywood, stained the top and bottom layers, leaving the middle layer as natural wood. munzieb, jollyred, amazingkevin and 15 others

wombatie
That is terrific Frank. Your idea to stain the different layers differently was a bonus. Well done. Marg
new2woodwrk
That is a great idea - is the window part of the pattern or did you come up with that as an add on? Very nice project - thanks for sharing it

Right now, I am planning to use Sue's window as a potion of the frame for a photograph that I took. new2woodwrk
heppnerguy
I have enjoyed seeing this pattern too, although I have not purchased or cut it as of yet. I agree it is one that is enjoyable to look at as this pattern adds a lot of new dimension with the open window effect. I also like you future plans to incorporate the window idea into another pattern. Dick heppnerguy

I'm certainly happy enough that I will now make at least four frames for our own use. Here are images of the prototype frame shown holding two different 8 inch by 10 inch photos:
Charlie E
Those are so cool. Definitely play a trick with you eyes as they look so 3D.
