Stocking up for Covid19

Recommended Posts

I'm set on wood and finishes. TP not a problem the Mrs. and I just bought a huge package before the surge of everyone grabbing it.Hand sanitizers is a different story though. With the way things are we haven't been going out much . People are just plain crazy out there anymore.

I'm good with wood and just received 2 gross of blades.....Toilet paper?? Not so good. Empty shelves and people have swiped the T paper and hand sanitizers from the public restrooms. Crazy times.

I bought up all the plungers I could find.

Well I have lots of corn cobs in my freezer....... I'm in good shape.  Just thaw some out, have corn on the cob for dinner and you are set.

I can still hear my Dad telling me how to go about using corn cobs. He'd say "it take two dark ones and one light one. You use a dark one first, then a light one to see if you need another dark one". My Dad was a hoot.

I may buy a few cases of "Depends". if things get worse there may be a buck to be made dealing them. Sad but true, I live in a gated 55+ community. There are 600 homes here and many older people with all forms of compromised health systems. A week doesn't go by that I don't see EMP vehicles here. The management just posted, no more club house activities. No shuffle board, billiards room closed, library closed, no bingo, no bowling, pools and spa locked up etc. Until the end of April. With so many oldsters going to the clinics and Doctors offices,  where they sit in waiting rooms full of sniffling coughing people, I don't think it's if we get a case but when.

I also live in a 55+ community. We were supposed to have our annual St. Patrick's Day luncheon today but it was cancelled til further notice. Probably next month if all goes well. And, we see the EMT's in here almost daily.  It's a sad state of affairs but we feel like this is our "village" and we are all on high alert to help our neighbors when needed.

I had a show cancelled today. All 3 for next week are a go...so far.

Crazy thing about TP -when you see someone buying like 200 rolls !

what i call a life time supply , basically just hysteria i guess -

not going to tell you i didnt go a little crazy - hoping to stay in place at least a couple of weeks before i visit a store again -

but like everyone else Its hard not to go stir crazy -

I typically get my wood and blades at the end of the year -So i am doing fine.

What scares me is that I keeps getting emails from shows i do

suggesting that they may cancel -thats my livlihood -getting scary
