trackman Posted March 21, 2020 Report Share Posted March 21, 2020 (edited) I think what you have is Garapa. Were I get my lumber they can’t get yellow heart anymore. So I have been using garapa in its place. Both are very hard and make good accent woods when used with other woods. Be sure to wear a mask when cutting. The Purple Heart will darken with age. Grandillo is more of a red color I think but I have been known to be wrong, ask my wife! Grandillo is what the sticker said and I had never heard of it (just started scrolling in January).
