Popular Post GrampaJim
I am always looking for Intarsia wood - interesting color and grain patterns. Found some plan Hickory I thought would work. Cuts OK, sanding and shaping is a real pain. This week, I felt lazing and just wanted to sit at the saw and cut something. Turns out I LIKE Hickory for shelf sitters, more so than my usual Red Oak. Dave Monk, frankorona, JimErn and 10 others

GrampaJim
What I was trying to say was that it was a mistake to try Hickory for Intarsia due to the sanding. Fixed it by using it for fretwork. Just goes to prove what the wife says: you don't communicate. LOL amazingkevin and meflick 1

kmmcrafts
I absolutely love making mistakes... sounds weird don't it.. but in reality that's how I learn the best.. without mistakes a rock would be smarter than me.. Some probably would say that a rock is smarter than me.. Maybe that's why my wife has a pet rock that she has kept for many years.. danny

Denny Knappen
I have never tried Hickory although we have a tree in our front yard. Not harvesting that tree!
JustLarry
I never make mistakes when scrolling. I do make unplanned modifications to the pattern. Some of those unplanned modifications also make designer firewood. Larry

Dave Wittich
I don't make mistakes, my wife makes mistakes. Of course, she's going to argue that first statement. See? Another mistake. (OMG, I hope all y'all don't get the wrong idea and think I'm something special or something) Another mistake she makes is that she thinks I don't have a sense of humor. I have a GREAT sense of humor. Just ask me, I'll tell ya. BTW, in fairness and full disclosure - my best, latest mistake can be plainly seen on my project page. It's a dewsy (sp)!!!!!!!
