Popular Post Charlie E Posted April 13, 2020 Popular Post Report Posted April 13, 2020 (edited) Had a good time cutting this portrait of Doc Adams from Gunsmoke. Pattern by @lawson56. 1/2" Red oak. About 5" X 7". When I'm cutting a portrait I usually take a picture of the back side after cutting the eyes, nose and mouth and post it on Facebook to see if anyone can guess who it is. Usually only have maybe one correct guess. Most everybody got this one right. Doc has some recognizable eyes. Edited April 14, 2020 by Charlie E Scrappile, Dave Monk, flarud and 9 others 12 Quote

This one looked very much like John Prine after cutting just the eyes. Gordster 1 Quote

I assume the one on the left is Red Oak, as mentioned above, but the one on the right looks like a different wood. I am not well acquainted with wood types so what about the one on the right? Woodrush Posted April 22, 2020 Report Posted April 22, 2020 Very well done. And I love the wood Charlie E 1 Quote

Just different lighting and I took a picture from the back while I was cutting it because his eyes are so distinctive. Quote
