Neat projects.

 

I still have my first scrollsaw-- a little longer ego than yours though. 

I bought it new in the fall of 1953--yes it still works. No I do not use it much. It is very limited on the blade stroke and cutting ability; as it does not have any rotating parts of any kind! 

As the blade moves less than 1/6 inch it is the safest power tool in the shop.  It started life as an 11 inch throat-- the best welder I ever knew lengthened it for me sometime in the early 1970's.

I got one of those for Christmas as a kid. My mother loved it as much as I did.

That is amazing! I would hold onto it too just because it is a part of how we made it to where we are now.

The wife must be getting bored because she has come out to the garage while I am cutting. I expect her to try something in the next couple of days.
