Popular Post cashew Posted April 18, 2020 Popular Post Report Posted April 18, 2020 I am in love with this wood. It's called Black Limba and when I saw it I had a thought (usually a dangerous thing). But it worked!! This is also my second attempt at angle cutting on my scroll saw (the first is the plywood trial in the pics -- a disaster). My first I cut in the wrong direction. The design is also my own, I think, but after all the pics I looked through prepping for this - who knows jollyred, namunolie, Scrolling Steve and 15 others 18 Quote
RabidAlien Posted April 18, 2020 Report Posted April 18, 2020 That is DEFINITELY one sexy piece of wood!!! Very nicely cut! I'm assuming you did a quasi-inlay thing here, cut the center out, then moved it around to the bottom and attached via the overlap? cashew 1 Quote

Exactly -- just like bowls -- but this is my first -- building up to it Even the end grain on this is cool Edited April 18, 2020 by cashew RabidAlien 1 Quote
