DWSUDEKUM
I had tried some time back to make a bowl with bamboo but the cutting board I had gotten was one of the 19 - 20 mm thick ones and it when cut had huge voids... the board only had 2 good layers the top and the bottom. Anyway I digress. I decided to try again but this time I got some 1cm or .4 in thick 8x10 bamboo cutting boards from the local Wally world and made this. Bamboo cuts real easily and finishes great. Made the pattern from the scrollmania website. The bowl was sealed with Tung Oil then top coated with satin lacquer. DW

realfEZ
Yes bamboo is an amazing material, with its fibred structure you wouldn't think it would be easy to work on. (I wouldn't)... Bravo DW! fEZ ;°)
