Popular Post scrollerpete
A very good friend and neighbor with Parkinson’s passed away, we used to go for breakfast at different restaurants around town and also go out for dinner with our wife’s. Any way his wife asked me if I could make an urn for his remain, she said it is a sentimental value to her. Well I am not in the urn making business, so after discussing her request, she wanted something simple but with nice wood (I made lots of crafts fir them before). In the shop I go with a heavy heart even though we new that the end was close, this is what I came up with. His name was Gerry Brown. amazingkevin, Lucky2, dgman and 11 others
oldhudson
A hard project. I think the contrasting woods and simple ogee boarder do the job. Are the vessel corners mitered? scrollerpete and Lucky2

spirithorse
Beautiful urn. I'm sorry about the loss of your friend. I don't really understand the protrusion in the front. Maybe another photo from the side would give me a better visual. It's not really necessary so don't go to any trouble but, I was curious. God Bless! heppnerguy
How gracious of you to make an urn on this sad time. I think you did a real nice job on this project with a wood choice that looks so nice and yet without too much bling. It would be one that I would want selected for me if I had that choice. You have made a very treasured keep sake for a very treasured friend and his family. It is simply beautiful. I am very sorry for his families loss as well as yours and your wife's.
