Old Dust Posted March 21, 2011 Report Posted March 21, 2011 Sometimes we do not want to frame a cutting. But the edges do not look good. Here is a cutting of Tinker Bell using a scrap of molding for the stand, but the edges looked bad. SO! I found at a $ store some bamboo place mats, The reeds were glued to the edges with Arlean's glue that dries clear. Now the piece looks finished. One mat provides a lot of edging material. amazingkevin Posted March 22, 2011 Report Posted March 22, 2011 Now that's useing your noggin.Keeping something simple tends to make us scrach our heads at what to do .This appears to be quick and simple !I'm in favor of this brainstorm as i can't rout picture frames where i live. This solved the problem big time.My neighbor just cut down all of his bamboo ,but they were way to thick for my use. This idea of yours will bring the radar out in my travels for a simalar stock to use for frameing scroll work .Thank you!John Quote
