Altman
Hello everyone, First, thank you for allowing me to join your forum. My name is Altman vd Westhuizen, I live in South Africa, Pretoria. One of these days I will be 50 years young . I recently started doing woodwork as relaxation from work, during my search for woodworking articles I discovered scroll sawing. It immediately grabbed my attention and in a short time bought three scroll saws. One with my brother as he also became interested, a Ryobi. Speaking to a gentleman at the workplace I discovered that he bought himself a Delta Rockwell 50 years ago and he still had the saw. Long story short I bought the saw from him, it is a Delta Rockwell 40 – 110, Homecraft, 16†and it (I keep wanting to say she) is still purring like a kitten with a bowl of cream. I believe it is a 1952 model or should I say that is when the owner’s manual was revise. The last on is a local company selling an own brand which I picked up on a promotion sale, a MacAfrica, made in China. I have a wife and two sons, I am now married for 29 years to my wife and am enjoying every moment of life and the fact that I have a new hobby of which I know very little and have a lot to learn. So please be patient with the grasshopper, I will have lots of questions to ask in the further. Once again thank you. God Bless.
