Popular Post don watson Posted June 8, 2020 Popular Post Report Posted June 8, 2020 (edited) I have finished the 3 dogs pattern that TDpainter drew for me. Thanks again Travis. I used a mix of blades on this, including spirals, but I reckon the ply was was too thin at 1/8", I reckon it should have been 1/4" baltic birch at least. John B Posted June 9, 2020 Report Posted June 9, 2020 Very nice Don. Those spirals take a bit of controlling on thin material! don watson 1 Quote
don watson Posted June 9, 2020 Author Report Posted June 9, 2020 @ amazingkevin, I only cut one thanks, that was plenty. I posted on Pattern Requests as I wanted to thank Travis for the original design and to show what I made of it. @ John B, I am getting used to the spirals a bit better now. This was a piece of 1/8" 3 ply and the #0 spiral blade was a bit too course, there was a lot of problems with this cutting. I will try and stick with 1/4" Baltic Birch Ply in the future. The original request can be found in 'Pattern Requests' Looks like it came out pretty dang nice, but I know what you mean about the wood. The correct wood choices, depending on the pattern to be cut is really important and adds or distracts a lot if the choice was not perfect. Dick heppnerguy don watson 1 Quote
