OzarkSawdust
On the King, Pegas, etc., etc. clones the air blower tube comes off a metal ball and is a multi jointed plastic thing. How do you get it to stay put on the metal ball??? Anyone have problems with it staying where you adjust it? OCtoolguy
LarryEA
The connection from the to the metal ball is loose. Because the connector to the ball has a slight crack in it and that makes it loose. Pop the one off and use the next one OCtoolguy, OzarkSawdust and crupiea 1
bandaideman
I have done the above and helped with Dewalt but with the Ex 21 it was just plan loosey goosey and I used a little red loc tite and it is working great so far. dgman
As Larry mentioned, the first link is cracked. Heat it with a heat gun or hair dryer and pop it off. Then heat the next one and pop it back on. Blow on it to cool it off and presto, it’s just like new! Trka2002
I just fixed mine Monday. Pop the first piece off and stick it back on. If it’s like mine, it will go back on hard. OzarkSawdust and OCtoolguy 1
crupiea
if you dont have a heat gun, boil some water and dip the tube in that for a minute or two. it will loosen up enough to work. It will be hotter than hell so wear gloves or something. Sort of happens when you dip stuff in boiling water but of course I have to learn stuff the hard way. kmmcrafts
My EX-21 is just starting to do this as well... I remember doing this many times with my old DeWalt.. the tube got to a point where it was getting too short to do much good.. I sold it before actually having to replace some of the hose.. I have seen where others have added a hose shoved up inside the flex hose to add length to it.. I always used the boiling water to heat it.. ( didn't have a heat gun at the time ) and I also would use a drop of dish soap to help slide the thing back onto the metal part.. I'm not certain it helped though as being in hot water and then wet still and then adding soap made the thing hard to hold onto while trying to push it back on.. I believe there is a special tool for doing those things.. but I've always been able to get it with hot and soapy, LOL OzarkSawdust
BadBob
Loc-Line makes a clamp for tighting these. crupiea and OzarkSawdust
OzarkSawdust
I pulled the old one off, grabbed end piece with pliers and pulled off the rest. Then heated the next one with a heat gun and pushed it on. After the heat gun it went on easy...letting it cool now. Didn't work...as soon as I touched it...it fell down. I wonder if super glue would work. Edited June 16, 2020 by OzarkSawdust

OzarkSawdust
I wonder about a couple of drops of Lock Tight...? That might come off easier than Super Glue.
ozzyoz
I just used a standard hose clamp, worked a treat

OzarkSawdust
I ended up putting a couple drops of blue Locktight ( the cheep generic one) on it, worked it in a little, and out a prop on it (after I set the right spot) to dry overnight. I was VERY careful making a small adjustment...and so far it works great! I'm being extra cautious to not bump it! We'll see how long it lasts before I use a couple more drops. crupiea and kmmcrafts
