Speaks
These are really cool, I have tried in a bandsaw but never a scroll saw. Might have to give this a shot soon. Ron Johnson
meflick
I “think” I purchased that book a while back to Don. Need to go check my work room and see. What is interesting, is that several of the boxes that Ron has shown from it, are dry similar to ones I made on the band saw from another book. Wonder who copied who. don in brooklin on
Hi Ron Thanks for the posts of all the pictures. I love this forum as it give me inspiration. I forgot that I even had this book and now I am going to make a couple for my Granddaughters. Question - On the face do you still do the straight cut and glue back together. I was wondering for the face if I could drill a starter hole. I can't see glue line on yours. Thanks Don Ron Johnson

For the face I don't straight cut and glue back. Using a #77 drill bit I drill a starter hole bottom center and cut with a # 2 blade so your wondering is right. The end result is cleaner and stronger. The beautiful work you do your granddaughters will treaure them for years.
Dave Monk
When you make these do you sand the inside of the drawer holes perfectly smooth? Ron Johnson
DJ2772
Simply amazing! I watched my Dad make a band saw box once similar to this and I always wondered if it could be done using a scroll saw (since I don't have a band saw!). Great job!
