I just joined and am happy to be here, so thanks, Admins!

I started just a couple years ago and purchased a Wen as my first scroll saw. I would have been happy with that as a beginner with no experience. But then my husband, Lee, and I were at the local pawn shop and saw this huge thing on a stand near the front. I knew nothing of brands of saws, so I read the sign on the side..."$120 as is. Doesn't run." I got my phone out and looked it up and it was an RBI Hawk Ultra 226v. Lee said "I bet I can get this running in 15 minutes." So we took a chance and bought it. He got it running like butta in 10, haha. I have used it for almost two years now and am completely addicted.

We make signs and other creative things. We get really excited about found wood and fencing and repurposing something on its way to the dump.

I love my scroll saw story because I really wasn't worthy of that saw.

Welcome to THE VILLAGE. You should soon learn there are a lot of talented and experienced people here and all are friendly and helpful. So glad you found us and joined our group. The secret here is to log on often, share your work and comments on others and before you  know it , you will feel like you have known the regulars here for a long time. If  you do have any patterns you might like someone to help you with or are looking for some nice free patterns we have a lot of them posted here to download and print out for free.

A little note, I have a granddaughter and her family also living in Puyallup and and we will be traveling to Oregon and hopefully up to Puyallup in a month or so ourselves to get away from the heat here in Southern Arizona.

Greetings fellow Washingtonian from another Newbie to this site! :)
I have been Scroll Sawing for over 30 years now (Started off with a Sears Craftsman 16" saw) and for the last 28 years I have been using an RBI 20" Hawk.
For our 50th. Wedding Anniversary on June 6th. of 2020 my wife bought me a brand spanking new RBI 26" Hawk from Bushton Manufacturing. :) I loved my old RBI Hawk and now I am totally falling in love with my new RBI Hawk! :)
My old saw is going to be shipped to our dear friends in Mora, Minnesota so that they can get some use out of it and they can feel the love of a Great Machine! :)
On my old RBI I taught both of my Daughters how to create gifts, then I taught all of my Grandkids how to scroll saw. Now I am starting to teach my Great Grandkids how to run the saw safely. This is my youngest Great Grandson Owen during his first lesson! :)
